GILLES CANDELIER
The first series is inspired by a wall hanging called “nineteen thirty”, a relief in copper metal (as always) with small scenes from everyday life or not.
These are small, very thin rectangular reliefs inserted in brass rods, and whose shadow can be cast on a wall (which adds a little dream and graphic quality).
The spirit of the work is close to goldsmithing, quite precious; the play of patinas and textures enriches the work.
