SVETÀ MARLIER

Born in 1975 in Moscow into a family of artists, Svetà Marlier joined the Art School of the Russian capital at the age of 8. As soon as she graduated from the School of Fine Arts and the School of Cinematography in 1998, she decided to move to France. In Paris she studied at the famous Penninghen School of Graphic Arts, before moving to Nice, irresistibly attracted by the beauty and light of the Côte d’Azur capital, a long-time haven for many Russian artists. Today, she expresses her work best through series. Svetà participates in numerous cultural and artistic events on the Côte d’Azur. She also regularly exhibits her work in her gallery-studio in the centre of Nice. Drawing from her roots, she puts all her creativity at the service of hope in a triumphant and beautiful humanity. The diptych “La Vie” invites us to travel somewhere between Africa and Mesopotamia in search of the origins of humanity. The artist explores Genesis and expresses here the bliss of life, evoking the links between all species, men, women, mammals and birds.
